As part of our on site routine hard facing and blade setup service, JLW solutions engineer spotted issues with the shear, it was immediately taken out of service and transported to our workshops for a good clean a crack inspection and investigate of the issue .
Damaged grease ports resulted in broken studs and retaining pins but caught in good time avoiding major pin and bush wears. Replacement parts were fitted and rebuilt, blades set, let’s see how it performs now.
