After the unfortunate and rare occurrence when the mia Sophie b lost its rudder in the Irish Sea. It was at the time on route to Clydebank port services with a cargo of Magraths limestone, where it was recovered with tugs so the cargo could be discharged and to formulate a plan.
The vessels German owners engage JLW solutions to provide a work boat and a floating work platform to gain access to rudder area under the vessel to allow a German engineering company to design the new rudder.
Once the new rudder was fabricated and delivered we were then tasked with assistance in the installation procedure. Many thanks to JLWs Marc Milne for his welding support and JST port services for their assistance with craneage.
