Delden’s ever impressive attention to detail.

JLW Solutions were privileged to be part of the Delden reaction to the failure of the slew ring bearing on a particularly new Liehberr LR1300. The client reported unusual noises from the machine when operating there piling activities in scrabster harbour on the very north coast of Scotland. We arrange a engineer to attend site to investigate, we had found a simple manufacturing oversight resulted in a rough and noise slew action from the bearing. The bearing was greased manually allowing the client to continue there programme of works until there next long weekend off period. This is where Delden’s planing kicked into gear.

Preparations begins for Delden’s major undertaking with the sourcing of the new ring and bolts from the factory in Germany and assembling the vast array of specialist equipment required aswell as a body of men with the skill sets and experience to achieve this task on site.

Possibly the bigger challenge was the logistical nightmare of the location and coordinating everything to come together on site on the client shut down long weekend period, less than a week from initial diagnosis.

Credit to all involved, Delden’s professional planning, the team on the ground Harry Hughes, David Macgregor, Jack Fearn, Jockey Wilson, Mcfaydens transport and Hugh Simpson for the local knowledge and assist. The Hungarian courier who delivered the parts minute perfect.

Text book stuff and the best team I’ve had the pleasure working with in a long time.
