Biggest blades yet on the UKs road network.

JLW solution, McFadyens transport and Babcock international nailed it, after months of planning we prove concept, making it reality with biggest wind turbine blades to move on the UKs road network roll out of Babcock Rosyth’s commercial port facility.

Charles Mcfadyens vision and JLW solutions skills and experience in the port environment, combined with Babcock’s ability as a port to welcome the ~200m African Raven in to there deep water secure basin, also accommodating with heavy lift quayside and storage space. This collaboration of facility and can do attitude all brings this world class project alive, all helping towards Scotland on shore wind energy strategy for low cost, low carbon energy, and providing secure jobs aswell as a greener future for all.

All involved should be proud of there efforts.

Careful storage of these big blade has to be millimetre perfect as-well as level to avoid damage and allowing us to stack them to maximise storage space
Re orientation of the blades from ship to storage area so blade is ready to roll out to site. These 77m blade are not easily turned round.
